Take your camera on a photo walk adventure in the beautiful Toronto Islands. We will be striving for the very best and most iconic city skyline photographs and more. We will take a walk around the island area prior to shooting our city skyline.
We will be starting later in the day (approximately 6pm-6:30pm meeting time) and begin with a walk around the island for about an hour. We will take several images of the island features (plant life, depending on what is available for the time of year. We will fit in a walk to the boardwalk or zoo area, and if we have the right light, you will be shown a few tips for great natural light portraits.
If you have no experience with manual mode, but DO have an interchangeable lens dslr or mirrorless camera, you are most welcome to attend. This will be a great opportunity to be introduced to manual mode if you are a first timer, and to practice your manual mode skills if you have experience. You will be provided with all of the knowledge you will need for great city skyline shots.
A DSLR or mirrorless interchangeable lens camera is essential. A lens with a focal length of anywhere from 35mm to 50mm is recommended for the skyline shots. Wider focal lengths can work, and higher focal lengths will help with walking around photos. A full size tripod is absolutely essential. If you are unsure of which of your lenses to bring, contact us and inquire, we would be happy to help.
This event is not recommended for those with mobility issues, or, health concerns where walking should be avoided . There are no refunds unless the event is cancelled. An alternative date will be provided if the weather is unsatisfactory. Note that the cost of your ferry ticket is not included in your registration fee. Ferry tickets can be purchased online for less than ten dollars each. Only registered attendees may join our group. No guests/family members. Thank you!
